Mastering the Saxophone
Charente Maritime, France
Saxophonist and composer Andy Scott has just announced the dates of his
first week-long masterclass in France. Joining up with the Creative
Vacances team, Jenny and Chris Trotter, he has put together a package
that combines tutorials covering improvisation and composition with
plenty of time for playing both in quartets and ensemble. There is also
the added bonus of a half hour one-to-one lesson during the week. Jenny
and Chris have been hosting music holidays at their centre in the
Charente Maritime for a number of years. They know that the reason that
people join a course is to learn, improve and get the chance to play
with other musicians. But it is also a holiday in France so they make
sure that everyone can relax and enjoy eating great food and drinking
plenty of the local wine! Places are limited to 12 so it is advised to
book early.

similar ability. Please prepare either Schubert’s The Shepherd on the
Rock or Mozart’s Parto! Parto!, together with Spohr’s Six German Songs
